Even the smallest bodies of water feel the effects of wind, ice, and boat travel causing shore erosion over time. One of the most economical and natural options is Riprap (from old English, ”stretch of rippling water”). After review with the DNR, Radtke Contractors will place limestone or granite along your shore in a specific pattern designed to absorb and minimize impeding waves. All Riprap applications are finished with raked topsoil for a finished look. In addition, native plants and wildlife enjoy the riprap as well!
